Two-way Google Calendar sync, self-service memberships, and one-click onboarding

Your calendar now syncs both ways with Google, members can pause and cancel on their own, and brand-new studios can be built in a single step. Plus coupons, smarter automations, and a faster Zippy assistant.

This update is all about giving you back time. Your Zipper schedule and your Google Calendar now talk to each other in both directions, so a change in one shows up instantly in the other — no more double-booking yourself or copying events by hand. Members can now handle the little things themselves, like pausing a membership or cancelling a plan, which means fewer “can you help me with my account?” messages landing in your inbox.

We also made getting started dramatically easier. A brand-new studio can now point Zipper at its existing website and have a complete, ready-to-edit Zipper site built automatically in a single step — with our assistant double-checking the result. On top of that, we added coupon codes, introductory first-month pricing, smarter marketing automations, and a faster, snappier Zippy assistant.

Here’s everything new in this release.

Scheduling & Calendar

  • Two-way Google Calendar sync. Your classes and appointments now sync both ways with Google Calendar. Book or change something in either place and it updates everywhere automatically.
  • One-click “Schedule a Class.” A new quick-action button on your calendar lets you add a class to the schedule without leaving the page.
  • Calendar opens to today. Your provider calendar now always opens on the current day, so you start where you actually are.
  • Move a client to another class in one step. Reschedule a client’s registration into a different class without cancelling and re-booking.
  • Book multiple people at once. The Create Appointment screen now lets you add several participants to a single booking.
  • Block customer cancellations by appointment type. Choose exactly which appointment types clients can cancel themselves and which require a call to the front desk.
  • Bulk-restore deleted classes. Accidentally removed a batch of sessions? Bring them all back at once.
  • Save a class with just a booking window. Set up a class with only its booking window defined and finish the details later.

Memberships & Payments

  • Self-service membership management. Members can now pause, cancel, and manage their own subscriptions from their account — no front-desk help needed. You control which options are available.
  • Introductory first-month pricing. Offer a special, lower rate for the first month of any subscription to make signing up an easy yes.
  • Coupon codes. Create and manage discount codes for your products and plans, right inside Zipper.
  • Automatic account-balance payments. Any cash balance on a member’s account is now applied automatically toward their membership renewal.
  • Duplicate plan warning. Zipper now warns you before adding a membership a client already has, preventing accidental double charges.
  • Reordered checkout options. Payment choices at checkout are now arranged in a clearer, more intuitive order.
  • Charge failed payments in one click. The Payments Collector now lets you retry a failed payment directly, with at-a-glance counts on each tab.
  • One-click credit returns. Return a class credit to a client without having to cancel their appointment.
  • Credits sorted by expiration. Clients now see their soonest-to-expire credit packs first, so nothing goes to waste.

Marketing & Automations

  • Redesigned automations dashboard. Each automation now shows funnel analytics and run stats at a glance, so you can see what’s actually working.
  • Smarter automation rules. New “Is Active Member” conditions and expanded timing and booking options let you build more personalized, better-timed campaigns.
  • Cleaner email pasting. Paste content from Canva or Word into the email editor and it keeps clean formatting instead of breaking your layout.

Websites & Online Presence

  • Redesigned “Add a Page” flow. Adding a new page to your website is now faster and more guided.
  • Private events. Flip a single toggle to hide an event from your public schedule while still managing it behind the scenes.
  • Custom branded login screen. Add your own background photo and brand colors to your customer app’s login page.

Reporting & AI

  • Attrition reporting. A new Attrition tab in your Business Intelligence dashboard shows where and when members are leaving, so you can act before they do.
  • One-click studio setup. New studios can point Zipper at their current website and get a complete, ready-to-edit Zipper site built automatically — with Dr. Zippy verifying everything looks right.
  • A faster Zippy assistant. Zippy now streams its answers as it thinks, so you start seeing responses almost instantly.
