Will Zipper work for a studio that does both group classes and private sessions? What about duets?
Yes. Zipper is Pilates studio management software that treats classes and appointments equally — neither is bolted on as an afterthought. You can run reformer classes, mat classes, privates, semi-privates, and duets from the same schedule, with one membership type that covers whichever combination you offer.
Can I sell a membership that includes both classes and privates?
Yes. You can build a single product that includes, say, eight reformer classes and two privates per month, with the exact mix you want. You can also stack — a member can have a recurring membership active alongside a separate pack for months when they need extra sessions.
Can I offer auto-renewing packs that aren't memberships?
Yes, and this is one of the things Pilates studios switch to Zipper for. You can sell an eight-pack or ten-pack that automatically reloads when the client uses it up — not on a fixed monthly cycle, but whenever they actually finish their sessions. It's configurable at the product level, so you can offer a one-time pack and a bottomless pack side by side and let clients choose. You set the expiration window and which classes or appointment types each pack is good for.
How do duet bookings work?
A client can book themselves and bring a guest, a family member on their account, or a registered partner — all from the same booking flow. Payment can come from one account, so semi-private clients don't each need their own card on file. (This is one of the most common Pilates-specific frustrations we hear from owners switching off other platforms.)
Can I restrict advanced classes to clients who've completed an intro series?
Yes. With prerequisite tags, you can set a class to only allow clients with a specific tag to book it. The tag can be applied automatically — for example, when a client completes three beginner classes or finishes their intro offer, they're tagged "advanced" and the upper-level reformer classes open up to them. No more newbies accidentally booking into the wrong level.
I'm switching from another scheduling platform. How hard is the migration?
