This is our biggest release yet, and it focuses on the moments that quietly cost studios time and money. You can now charge automatically for no-shows, manage entire households in a brand-new Families view, and hand your old website’s redirects to AI instead of typing them in one by one.

Underneath it all, we rebuilt Zipper on a faster, more reliable foundation, so the whole app feels quicker. And on top of the headliners, there’s birthday marketing that runs itself, smarter payment tools, a more customizable customer app, and a much faster way to schedule your classes.

Here’s everything new in this release.

Scheduling & Calendar

  • Build a week of classes at once. Pick the days and times together — like 8am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — and create them all in one step, with one-off sessions and timeslots now available right from the calendar’s Create button.
  • Class categories and filtering. Tag your classes by type so clients can filter the schedule and quickly find the kind of class they want.
  • Descriptions on appointment types. Add a short description to each appointment type that clients see while booking, so they know exactly what they’re signing up for.
  • Schedule in your studio’s time zone. The calendar now defaults to your studio’s time zone, so traveling or out-of-area clients don’t accidentally book the wrong time.
  • The calendar remembers where you were. It keeps your place while you work and returns to today when you come back the next day.

Memberships & Payments

  • Automatic no-show fees. Charge a fee when a client doesn’t show up, just like late-cancellation fees — set it once and let it run.
  • Change how a booking is paid. Swap a registration’s payment method — subscription, cash, or class pack — without cancelling and rebooking.
  • Discounts on upcoming subscriptions. Apply a discount to a subscription before its next payment runs.
  • Extend a billing period. Give a member extra time on their current cycle with a single action.
  • Add a card with your terminal. Use your card terminal to save a client’s payment method on file.
  • Receipts for cash and outside payments. Automatically email a receipt whenever you record a cash or external payment.
  • Set up packs and punch cards with AI. Create-with-AI can now build your class packs and punch cards for you, not just memberships.

Marketing & Automations

  • Email or text a client from their profile. Send a one-off message right from a customer’s profile, using saved email templates and adjusting recipients on the fly.
  • Birthday email automation. Automatically wish clients a happy birthday to keep them feeling looked after.
  • Automations that know when to stop. Set an exit action, like making a purchase, that removes someone from a campaign automatically — so they stop hearing about something they’ve already done.

Websites & Online Presence

  • AI-built redirects from your old site. Drop in your previous website’s sitemap and let Zipper set up all the redirects automatically — no manual entry, no broken links.
  • A roomier page editor. The page-editing panel is now larger and easier to work in.

Customer Experience

  • Custom app home screen. Add a background image to your customer app’s home screen to match your brand.
  • Contact & directions in the app. A new Contact & Directions page helps clients find you and get in touch.
  • Milestone celebrations at check-in. Your kiosk now recognizes attendance milestones as clients sign in.
  • Re-collect forms when they change. Ask all existing clients to complete a form again — perfect for when you update a waiver or policy.

CRM & Front Desk

  • A new Families view. A clearer parent-and-child layout, plus a new directory of every family at your studio, makes managing households simple.
  • Create customers in fewer clicks. Turn a lead into a customer with one button, or add a brand-new customer straight from the top search bar.
  • Staff to-do lists. Create simple checklists, assign them to your team, and have them refresh automatically each week.
