Release Notes

Switching to Zipper just got easy

Bring your existing memberships and discounts with you, schedule future start dates, bulk-update customer info, and add forms to even more pages.

  • v4.16

Moving your business onto a new platform is usually the scariest part of switching — so this update is all about making it painless. You can now bring your current memberships across with their discounts intact, set subscriptions to kick in on a future date, and update customer details in bulk instead of one record at a time.

We also added a few thoughtful touches for everyday use, from adding forms to more types of pages to giving front-desk staff the right level of access.

Memberships & Payments

  • Bring your existing memberships and discounts with you. Import the subscriptions your members already have — including any discounts they’re on — so switching to Zipper doesn’t disrupt their billing.
  • Schedule future start dates. Set a subscription to begin on a later date, with an optional startup fee, so you can sign members up now and start charging when you’re ready.

CRM & Customers

  • Bulk-update customer info. Change a field across many customers at once instead of editing each profile by hand.

Customer Experience

  • Skip the welcome email for family accounts. When you link a parent and child account, you can now choose not to send the automatic welcome email.

Websites & Forms

  • Add forms to more pages. Drop forms onto informational and landing pages, so you can capture leads and details wherever it makes sense.

Team & Permissions

  • Show class credits without revealing finances. Let staff see a client’s remaining class credits while keeping their financial details private.

Reporting & Insights

  • Plan ahead with the Lost Subscribers report. The Lost Subscribers report now supports future dates, so you can see who’s set to lapse before it happens.
