How to Create an Email Campaign

Learn how to create and send email campaigns to your contact lists or individual customers. Email campaigns help you communicate with customers, promote events, share updates, and drive engagement. You can track opens, clicks, and engagement metrics.

Before You Begin

  • Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
  • Ensure you have owner or admin permissions
  • Have a verified sender email set up (required for reliable delivery)
  • Have at least one contact list with recipients, or individual customers to send to

Steps

Step 1: Create a campaign

  1. Go to Marketing > Email
  2. Click Create campaign

Step 2: Enter campaign details

  1. Subject line (required) — what recipients see in their inbox
  2. Email content — compose your email in HTML; include text, images, links, and a clear call-to-action

Step 3: Select recipients

Choose who to send to:

  • Contact list — select a list, optionally filter by subscription status
  • Individual customers — select one or more customers directly
  1. Click Send test email, enter your address, and click Send test
  2. Review formatting and links; adjust if needed

Step 5: Send or schedule

  1. Choose Send now or Schedule (set a specific date and time)
  2. Click Send (or Schedule)

Tracking Campaign Performance

Go to Marketing > Email → select your campaign to view opens, clicks, delivery status, bounces, and unsubscribes. Use Recipient details for individual engagement or export analytics data.

Troubleshooting

No “Create campaign” button? Only owners and admins can create campaigns — contact your organization owner.

Can’t send emails? Verify your sender email is verified, your contact list has recipients, and your email content is valid HTML.

Emails not being delivered? Check that your verified sender is active, recipient addresses are valid, and recipients haven’t unsubscribed.

No open or click tracking? Open tracking requires images to load — some email clients block tracking pixels. Click tracking is more reliable.
