How to Cancel a Subscription

Learn how to cancel customer subscriptions. You can cancel subscriptions immediately or at the end of the billing period.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have owner or admin permissions

Steps

Step 1: Find the subscription

Go to Contacts > Customers, open the customer’s account, and find the subscription under their subscriptions. Alternatively, go to Payments > Payment Collector and locate the subscription there.

Step 2: Cancel

  1. Click the subscription to open its details
  2. Click Cancel
  3. Choose the cancellation type:
    • Immediate — access ends now, no further charges
    • End of period — customer keeps access until the billing period ends, then no renewal
  4. Click Confirm Cancellation

Troubleshooting

No Cancel option? Confirm you have permission to manage subscriptions and the subscription is still active.

Customer still has access after cancellation? End-of-period cancellations keep access until the period ends by design. For immediate cancellations, verify the cancellation was processed.

Want to reactivate? Open the subscription details and look for the reactivate option.
