Classes, rebuilt from the ground up

This is a big one. We rebuilt the entire classes experience from the ground up — a more powerful, more flexible foundation that makes everything around classes faster and easier, from scheduling and substitutions to cancellations and booking. It’s the headline of our 5.0 release and the base we’ll keep building on for a long time to come.

Alongside it, we added a global search bar that finds clients, classes, and more from anywhere in your dashboard, the ability to color-code your calendar by location or event type, and a much smoother way to handle the everyday realities of running classes — covering instructors, cancelling a session and notifying everyone automatically, and letting clients buy a pack mid-booking.

Classes & Scheduling

• A rebuilt classes experience. Classes have been redesigned from the ground up on a more powerful, flexible foundation — making everything around scheduling, booking, and managing classes faster and more reliable.
• Color-code your calendar. Assign colors to the calendar by location or event type so you can read your whole schedule at a glance.
• One-tap instructor substitutions. Swap in a substitute for a class quickly and cleanly, without rebuilding the session.
• Smarter class cancellations. When you cancel a class, Zipper shows you exactly who’s affected and emails those clients automatically.
• Undo a no-show. Mistakenly marked someone as a no-show? You can now reverse it in a click.
• Pin notes and milestones. Keep important notes and milestones pinned right to a client’s event registration so nothing gets lost.

Memberships & Payments

• Buy a pack while booking. Clients can purchase a class pack right inside the booking flow, instead of stopping to buy one first.
• Accept Link payments. Zipper now supports charging Link payment methods for faster, one-tap checkout.
• Smarter upsells. Add-on offers now hide automatically when a client already has an active credit or subscription, so you never pitch something they own.
• Respect pack expiration dates. Optionally prevent clients from booking classes beyond the date their class pack expires.
• Choose the refund credit. A new setting on class drop-ins lets you decide exactly which type of credit a refund returns.

Dashboard & Productivity

• Global dashboard search. A new search bar finds clients, classes, and more from anywhere in your dashboard, so you spend less time clicking around.
