How to Use Scheduled Changes for Classes

Learn how to use scheduled changes to temporarily modify class time slots for specific date ranges. Scheduled changes let you handle instructor vacations, location changes, or special events without affecting the entire class series.

Before You Begin

Steps

Step 1: Open the class and find the time slot

  1. Go to Schedule > Calendar (or Schedule > Classes) and click the class you want to modify
  2. On the class edit page, find the Scheduling section and locate the time slot to modify

Step 2: Add a scheduled change

  1. Click Add scheduled change on the time slot
  2. Set the Start date and End date for when the change applies
  3. Override any combination of: time, location, or instructor — leave unchanged fields blank
  4. Confirm the day of week matches the time slot
  5. Review the preview to confirm the correct sessions are affected, then click Save

Sessions within the date range are updated; sessions outside remain unchanged.

Managing Scheduled Changes

From the time slot, you can view, edit, or remove existing scheduled changes, and add multiple changes for different date ranges.

Troubleshooting

“Add scheduled change” option not visible? Confirm you are managing a time slot (not just viewing the class) and have schedule management permissions.

Change isn’t affecting sessions? Verify the date range includes the sessions you want to modify and that the change was saved.

Wrong sessions being affected? Check the date range and confirm the day of week matches the time slot.
