How to Send a Package Invite to a Customer
Learn how to invite specific customers to purchase packages or products. Package invites allow you to target specific customers with personalized offers, track invite acceptance, and send reminders. Invites can only be sent for products managed via Stripe.
How to Send a Package Invite to a Customer
Before You Begin
- Owner or admin permissions required
- The product must be managed via Stripe (have a Stripe product ID)
- The customer must have a valid email address
Steps
Step 1: Open the invite modal
You can start from either location:
- From Contacts — go to Contacts > Customers, find the customer, open their profile, click Invite to package
- From Products & Services — go to Products & Services > Manage Plans, open the product, go to the Invites section, click Send invite
Step 2: Enter customer information
If the customer is already selected, their info will be pre-filled. For a new customer, enter:
- Email (required)
- First name and Last name (required unless toggling Invite customer to manage this account on)
- Phone number (optional)
Toggle Invite customer to manage this account on if you want the customer to receive a Zipper account setup email.
Step 3: Select the product
Choose the product from the dropdown. Only products with a Stripe product ID appear here.
Step 4: Set a custom price (optional)
Enter a price to override the product’s default for this invite. Leave blank to use the default.
Step 5: Send
Click Send invite. The customer receives an email with the offer and a link to accept or decline. Track status in the product’s Invites section.
Troubleshooting
“Invite to package” button not visible? Confirm you have permission to manage products and are viewing the correct customer profile.
“Invites can only be sent for products managed via Stripe”? The product isn’t connected to Stripe. It must have a Stripe product ID to be used for invites.
Can’t select the product in the dropdown? Verify the product is active and managed via Stripe.
Customer didn’t receive the invite email? Confirm the email address is correct, then check spam. You can resend the invite from the product’s Invites section.
Send button is disabled? Fill in all required fields: customer email, first/last name (if applicable), and product selection.
