Learn how to duplicate contact lists to create variations quickly. Duplicating lists helps you create new lists with all contacts from an existing list.

How to Duplicate a Contact List

Duplicating a list copies all contacts into a new, independent list. Changes to one list don’t affect the other, and the original remains unchanged.

Before You Begin

Steps

Step 1: Open the contact list

  1. Go to Marketing > Email and open Contact Lists
  2. Find and click the list you want to duplicate

Step 2: Duplicate and name the new list

  1. Click Duplicate (in the list actions menu, next to Edit/Delete)
  2. Enter a name for the new list (e.g., “Summer Campaign List”) — a default like “Copy of [Original Name]” may be pre-filled
  3. Click Confirm (or Duplicate)

Troubleshooting

No Duplicate option visible? Verify you have permission to manage contact lists and that you’ve opened the contact list details page.

Contacts missing from the duplicated list? Check that duplication completed successfully and that the original list has contacts.

Need to delete the duplicated list? Go to Marketing > Email > Contact Lists, open the duplicated list, click Delete, and confirm. Contacts are preserved in your system.
