How to Delete a Contact List
Learn how to delete contact lists when they're no longer needed. Deleting a list removes contacts from the list but doesn't delete the contacts themselves.
How to Delete a Contact List
Deleting a list is permanent. Contacts in the list are not deleted — they remain in your system and can be added to other lists.
Before You Begin
- Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- Ensure you have owner or admin permissions
Steps
Step 1: Open the contact list
- Go to Marketing > Email and open Contact Lists
- Find and click the list you want to delete
Step 2: Delete and confirm
- Click Delete (in the list actions menu or settings)
- In the confirmation dialog, review that contacts will be preserved and deletion cannot be undone
- Click Confirm (or Delete) to proceed
Troubleshooting
No Delete option visible? Verify you have permission to manage contact lists and that you’ve opened the contact list details page.
Want to recover a deleted list? Deletion is permanent — you’ll need to create a new list and re-add contacts.
