How to Create a Virtual Class
Learn how to create virtual or online classes with meeting links. Virtual classes allow you to offer online instruction to customers who can't attend in person, or create hybrid experiences that combine physical and virtual attendance.
How to Create a Virtual Class
Before You Begin
- Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- Ensure you have owner or admin permissions
- Have your virtual meeting link ready (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
Steps
Step 1: Start creating a class
- Go to Schedule > Classes
- Click Create → Class
Step 2: Enter class details
- Name, Color, and Description — mention it’s virtual in the description so customers know what to expect
Step 3: Configure virtual location
In the scheduling step, for each time slot:
- Location Type — select Virtual (or Hybrid for combined physical/virtual)
- Meeting Link — enter your Zoom, Google Meet, or other meeting URL
- Meeting Instructions — add login instructions or passwords if needed
For Hybrid classes, also set a physical location; customers can choose their attendance method.
The meeting link is shared with registered customers in confirmation emails, reminder emails, and their customer dashboard.
Step 4: Complete class setup
- Finish the remaining wizard steps: Scheduling (days, times, date ranges), Payment, and Registration
- Click Create class
Troubleshooting
Customers didn’t receive the meeting link? Verify the meeting link is entered in the time slot settings and that confirmation emails are enabled.
Meeting link not working? Check that the link is valid, hasn’t expired, and includes the full https:// URL.
Customers joined the wrong meeting? Use a different meeting link for each class and include the class name in your meeting room title.
