How to Create a Product
Learn how to create a new product or package that your customers can purchase. Products can be one-time purchases, recurring subscriptions, or custom amount payments. Creating products allows you to sell services, memberships, and packages through your Zipper account.
How to Create a Product
Before You Begin
- Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- Ensure you have owner or admin permissions
- For paid products, connect Stripe (Settings > Integrations). Free products don’t require Stripe.
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Products
- Go to Products & Services > Manage Plans
- Click Create product (blue button with plus icon, top left) to open the “Manage package” modal
Step 2: Select product type
- Choose one:
- Product or Session — simple one-time purchase
- Subscription — automatically recurring charges (weekly, monthly, or yearly)
- Customers choose — customer-entered payment amount (e.g., donations)
Step 3: Fill out product details
- Name (required, max 100 characters)
- Headline (optional, max 200 characters) — one-sentence synopsis
- Details (optional, max 1000 characters) — full description of features/benefits
- Product Image (optional) — choose from library, Unsplash, premium stock, or upload
Step 4: Configure pricing
- Subscription: set billing schedule (weekly/monthly/quarterly/bi-yearly/yearly), price, and optional start-up fee
- Product or Session: set the one-time price
- Customers choose: set minimum (and optional maximum) amount
Step 5: Save
- Click Save. If Stripe is connected, a Stripe product is created automatically.
Troubleshooting
No “Create product” button? Only owners and admins can create products.
Error on save or Save button disabled? The Name field and product type are required — fill both in before saving.
Can’t create a paid product? Go to Settings > Integrations and connect Stripe first.
