How to Create a Pay Rate Template
Before You Begin
- Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
- Ensure you have owner or admin permissions
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Staff > Pay Rates > Templates
- Go to Staff > Pay Rates > Templates and click Create Template
Step 2: Enter template details
- Name (required) — e.g., “Instructor Rate”, “Manager Salary”, “Part-Time Hourly”
- Rate — numeric amount (e.g., 30.00 for $30/hr, 60000 for $60,000 salary)
- Type — Hourly, Salary, or other available type
Step 3: Save
- Click Save. The template is now available to assign to staff members.
Using Templates
Assign a template to a staff member by going to their pay rate settings and selecting the template from the dropdown.
Troubleshooting
No Templates option? Confirm you have permission to manage pay rates and are in the correct section.
Can’t save? Template name is required; also verify the rate amount is a valid number and a type is selected.
