How to Connect Zipper to Google Calendar
Add your Zipper appointments and class registrations to Google Calendar so everything stays in sync.
For Customers: Adding Zipper Bookings to Google Calendar
When a customer books a class or appointment in Zipper, the confirmation email typically includes an Add to Calendar link or .ics file attachment.
To add it:
- Open the booking confirmation email from Zipper
- Click: Add to Calendar (or download the
.icsfile) - For
.ics: open the file — it will prompt to add to your default calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.)
For Staff: Syncing Your Appointment Schedule
Zipper may offer an iCal feed that staff can subscribe to in Google Calendar:
- Navigate to: Settings > Integrations (look for Calendar sync or iCal export)
- Copy the calendar subscription URL
- In Google Calendar:
- Go to Other calendars → + Add → From URL
- Paste the iCal URL
- Add calendar
Admin Tip: Google Calendar Integration for Marketing Copilot
Connecting Google Calendar is separate from the Zipper Marketing Copilot integration. For social media automation, see: How to Connect Google Business.
Tips
- iCal subscriptions auto-sync: When a new appointment is booked in Zipper, it appears in Google Calendar automatically (may take a few minutes).
- Read-only: The Google Calendar view is read-only — you can’t edit Zipper appointments from Google Calendar.
Troubleshooting
No “Add to Calendar” link in the confirmation email. This may depend on your notification template settings. Contact Zipper support if this feature should be enabled.
The iCal feed isn’t updating. Google Calendar updates iCal subscriptions every few hours (not in real-time). For immediate updates, use the Zipper dashboard directly.
