How to Connect a Custom Domain

Before You Begin

• Login to your account at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login
• Owner or admin permissions required
• Have a registered domain and access to its DNS settings

Steps

Step 1: Enter your domain

1. Go to Website + App > Domains
2. Enter your custom domain (e.g., mysite.com or www.mysite.com — no http://)

Step 2: Configure DNS

1. Zipper will display the DNS records you need to add (typically a CNAME, and possibly an A record or TXT verification record)
2. Log in to your domain registrar’s DNS management and add the records exactly as shown

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate.

Step 3: Verify connection

1. Once DNS has propagated, the domain status in Zipper will show as Connected
2. Visit your domain to confirm the site loads

Troubleshooting

Don’t see Domains? Confirm you have permission to manage sites.

Domain verification failing? Confirm DNS records match Zipper’s instructions exactly and allow up to 48 hours for propagation.

Want to change the domain? Update the domain name in settings, add the new DNS records, and verify the new connection.
