How to Cancel an Event

Learn how to cancel events and handle refunds for registered customers. When you cancel an event, you can choose whether to refund registrations, and all registered customers will be notified.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have owner or admin permissions

Steps

Step 1: Open the event

Go to Schedule > Calendar, click the event to open its details.

Step 2: Cancel and choose a refund option

  1. Click Cancel event
  2. Choose a refund option:
    • Cancel with refunds — automatically refunds all registrations; booking credits are restored
    • Cancel without refunds — cancels the event but keeps payments
  3. Click Confirm cancellation

All registered customers are notified automatically.

Troubleshooting

No “Cancel event” button? The event must be in the future and not already canceled; confirm you have manage-schedule permission.

Refunds not processing? Confirm you selected “Cancel with refunds” and payment processing is functioning normally.

Customers not notified? Notifications are sent automatically — verify customer email addresses are valid and email notifications are not disabled in your org settings.
