Learn how to block out specific dates or times using date overrides. This is useful for holidays, vacations, special events, or temporary schedule changes without affecting your regular availability schedule.

Before You Begin

Steps

Step 1: Open the availability schedule

  1. Go to Schedule > Appointments, click Manage, then click the Availability schedules tab
  2. Find the instructor, click their schedule (or click Manage next to it)

Step 2: Add a date override

  1. Click Add date override
  2. Set the start date and end date (a single day or a range)
  3. Choose the override type:
    • Block all availability — no appointments can be booked on these dates
    • Adjust specific times — block or modify specific time windows (e.g., block 2–4 PM but keep mornings open)
  4. Review the preview to confirm the correct dates and times are affected
  5. Click Save

The override takes effect immediately. Your regular schedule is unchanged, and existing appointments are not affected. You can edit or delete overrides at any time from the schedule.

Troubleshooting

No Add date override option? Confirm you’re in edit mode for the schedule and have permission to manage schedules.

Override not blocking availability? Check that the override is saved, the date range is correct, and the type is set to “Block all” if you intended to block entire days.

Existing appointments were affected? Date overrides typically don’t cancel existing appointments — contact support if they were incorrectly affected.

Can’t remove an override? Confirm you’re editing the correct schedule and have permission to manage schedules.
