How to Assign Tags to Customers
Before You Begin
- Sign in at https://app.joinzipper.com/auth/login with owner or admin permissions
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Customers and select them
- Go to Contacts > Customers
- To tag a single customer, click their name to open their profile. To tag multiple customers, use the checkboxes to select them.
Step 2: Open the tag selector and apply tags
- From a customer profile, find the Tags section and click Add tags. From the list with multiple customers selected, click Add tags in the bulk actions menu.
- Select existing tags or type a new tag name and press Enter to create it on the fly. You can select multiple tags.
- Click Save or Apply tags
Tags appear on customer profiles and are available for filtering, search, and segmentation in email campaigns and automations.
Troubleshooting
No Add tags option? Confirm you have permission to manage customers and, if tagging in bulk, that customers are checked.
Tags not saving? Select at least one tag and click Save. Confirm you have permission to edit customers.
Can’t create new tags? Type the tag name in the input field and press Enter. Avoid special characters.
Tags not appearing on the profile? Confirm the save completed successfully and that you’re viewing the correct customer profile.
