How to Add Guests to a Family Account

Learn how to add guest accounts for family members, including children who may not have email addresses. Guest accounts allow you to create profiles for family members that can be managed by a parent or guardian.

Before You Begin

Steps

Step 1: Open the parent’s profile

  1. Go to Contacts > Customers
  2. Search for the parent/guardian and click their name

Step 2: Add a guest (child)

  1. Scroll to the Family Accounts section
  2. Click Add child or Add family member
  3. Enter: first name (required), last name (required), and optionally email, phone, date of birth
    • Email is not required for children — leave it blank and the parent’s email will receive notifications
  4. Click Save

Step 3: Configure permissions

Review and save the relationship permissions — what the parent can do on the child’s behalf:

  • Make purchases
  • Manage bookings
  • View account information
  • Use parent payment methods

How Guest Accounts Work

  • The child appears in your customer list and can be registered for classes and events
  • Booking confirmations and notifications go to the parent’s email
  • The parent can book, cancel, and modify the child’s sessions
  • Purchases and attendance history are tracked on the child’s account
  • The guest can be upgraded to a full account later by adding their email

Creating a Guest Without a Parent

  1. Go to Contacts > Customers and click Add customer
  2. Enter name and any available information (email optional)
  3. Save — then link to a guardian afterwards if needed

Troubleshooting

Can’t leave the email field blank? Confirm you’re creating a guest/child account, not a primary account, and that you have permission to create accounts without email.

Guest not appearing in search? Search by name — guest accounts without email won’t be found by email lookup.

Parent can’t see child’s bookings? Verify the guardian relationship is saved and permissions include managing bookings.

Notifications not reaching the parent? Confirm the parent’s email is valid and notification forwarding is enabled on the relationship.

Converting a Guest to a Full Account

  1. Go to the guest’s profile and add their email address
  2. Enable account claiming and send a claim invitation
