About Corbin Harris

Hello! Been running since 2005, but truly fell in love with the sport through college at Campbellsville University. Post-collegiately, I have started training competitively at the marathon distance and recently ran a marathon PR of 2:23:53 at CIM (my 5K pace in high school). While I have always been a pretty average runner, putting in consistency year after year has enabled me to grow and develop and truly fall in love with the sport. Outside of my own pursuits, I currently am coaching at my alma mater, Campbellsville University and have my own coaching platform (4Glory Training) where I hope to work with athletes who have big goals and just need some support and guidance from the 5K to the marathon distance.

Athlete stories

From broken to PR
While I have worked with numerous athletes in the collegiate scene, I was relatively new to coaching road runners when I was approached by a former college teammate about coaching him in a return from a double femoral stress fracture. The runner, a heck of an athlete in college, and with a marathon PR of 2:38 has had some frustrations as his intense work ethic had caused issues an almost a 10 month layoff from being able to pursue the sport he loves. We began working together this past April as he wanted to start building for Amsterdam Marathon in October. The build began SLOW as our primary goal was a healthy training block to just be able to toe the line. Through patience and trust, not only were we able to make it to the start, but to the finish with a near 5 minute personal best!

Race history

Kentucky Derby Marathon
Louisville, Kentucky, United States | April 29, 2023
Entered this race simply to compete and try to go for the win. I wound up 2nd, but ran 10:00 faster than I had the previous year. The leader had nearly 3 minutes on me around mile 14, so I made an aggressive move the 2nd half to catch and ended up catching him around mile 21. That left me with little energy to move once I got around him, so when he countered I faded. Definitely happy with the effort I put in!
California International Marathon
Sacramento, California, United States | December 4, 2022
CIM was my goal race of the year! After a stress fracture in May, I was unsure how quick I would be able to return to form, but was hoping to go out and run 2:25. Fortunately, the block went well and the race went even better, running a big PR of 2:23:53!
